Frabbey

Aka Freja Beha Erichsen and Abbey Lee Kershaw.

My two favourite models backstage at my favourite couture show, what more could a girl ask for?! I've heard so many rumours about them being a couple and dear god I hope it's true. They look super cute together and this photo is perfection personified!

I know it's a bit late to be posting about the couture shows but this was too cute to pass off.

The Brits 2010

Every time I turn on the telly (considering the only channels I watch are MTV, E4, Living and The Style Network) I'm inundated with crappy adverts about cashing my gold and wrinkle-free skin.

So I'm super excited about the Brits this year, not because I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone wears (although I am curious) but because Animal Collective have been nominated for Best International Breakthrough Act. Considering the winner will be decided by MTV viewers, you can appreciate the sheer amount of advertising I've endured whilst catching up on Gossip Girl/The Hills etc.

This is exciting because they're one of my favourite bands and if you haven't heard of them by now, shame on you. I've only ever listened to them at parties/on skating DVD's/when I'm chillin' so it kind of took me by surprise but in a good way. They're up against Lady Gaga, Daniel Merriweather (err why?), Empire of the Sun and Taylor Swift (...) so if you haven't had a listen by now, this is the perfect opportunity.

I've just put my vote in, what do you think about the nominations? Is there anyone you would of liked to have seen up-there instead?

PS. I didn't include Taylor Swift on purpose, she's not even popular here!

We love Freja and Baptiste...

'We Love Hair' by Schwarzkopf was released late last year to celebrate the 111th year of the brand. I've just come across some amazing photos of Freja Beha Erichsen and everyone's favourite toy-boy Baptiste Giabiconi, that are featured in the book.

I accidently stumbled on these beauties whilst trying to find scans of the Freja ed in March's UK Vogue because I absolutely love it. She looks amazing naked let alone in Versace and McQueen so it's something of a godsend; she even makes the reptile print McQueen 'armadillos' look hot.

Until I can find (or can be bothered to do it myself) some decent scans, I'm sure the genious of Karl Lagerfeld will suffice.

Not really sure on Baptiste's eyebrows but I'll take his hot bod any day, get your copy here!

Karma pastel-Chanel Chamelion

Having been at my Dad's since the weekend, I've subsequently fallen off the blogging bandwagon. In what can only be described as the ultimate bachelor-pad (think no food, lots of beer, 60" plasma, XBox 360, PS3 and several other things that require serious tech knowlege to even turn on) I've lost track of life itself and Bang Bang has suffered the consequences.

In true slacker style, I'm going to post some of my favourite looks from the Chanel Spring 2010 Haute Couture (somehow fashion is the last thing on my mind when all I can see/hear is aliens shooting other aliens). I think I like the collection although it'll probably be a grower, there were several 'stage' looks and few 'red carpet' outfits, but overall, I thought it very pleasant.

Am v. intrigued by lack of black or gold and think the silver embellishment with the pastel colours is gorgeous. Will get back to real life at the weekend (apologies) but until then, over and out.

The silk/satin draped dress is stunning and the embellished damask is crazy beautiful. What are your favourite couture shows from the last 5 years?

Lara Walliams?

Kind of has a funny ring to it, don't you think?

It was confirmed earlier today that Lara Stone and David Walliams are engaged; maybe I'm totally out of the loop but I didn't even know they were dating so consequently had a 'spit your drink out' moment when I found out. I can't really get the image of his multiple Little Britain aliases out of my head so they look extremely comical in my mind.

Stone is literally a modern day supermodel and Walliams, is well, a comedian. Not exactly the most likely of pairings but I think they look cute together. To the happy couple...

In my mind...

And then in real life...

At least he's taller than her AND she'll be able to give him pointers so he doesn't end up with another dodgy hair-do.

Anti-Climax

Apart from Mariah Carey's scary looking boobs, I didn't really notice anything exciting at the Golden Globes.

I'm a bit blase about the whole thing because I usually am disappointed and always wonder what went wrong. There were a lot of ruffles (big SS thing) and lots of black and white - the usual, but it was hard finding anyone that really stood out (although I did love Drew Barrymore in Versace). It was only when I looked at images from the after-parties did I see a bit of colour and boldness.

I'm not a huge fan of these looks, but I think that's because they were worn, in my eyes, by the wrong people. I love the dresses though. The Lloyd Klein is so beautiful but would have suited someone a bit edgier and the Chanel is just a bit too green.

I salute them for doing something a bit different, even if it was at the after party.

Isabal Lucas in Chanel

I love Ashley Olsen in Erdem, the colour is perfect and I think it's a shame the bottom half of the dress didn't live-up to the top half, therefore I felt it only necessary to show the best bit!

Who do you think got it right?

Best Dressed...

I've really become more of a dress girl this past year. I used to live in jeans and only ever wore dresses for occasions because I thought they were too girly. However, recently there have been so many dresses that I LOVE, its hard to avoid them any more.

I'm never going to be a prom dress kinda girl because I'm too scruffy and just can't handle the idea of having to keep something clean. I've just ordered myself a basic black jersey maxi-dress from ASOS which I'm sure I'll have fun accessorizing (I'm thinking boots, leather jacket and rings). Here are just a couple of outfit ideas I thought were cute - I'm pining for a nice mac and this one is lovely although I doubt it's an outfit I'd realistically wear.

The second outfit is definately something I'd wear and I love that burgandy colour with grey and black.
