Silver Fox

Don't worry, I'm not going to go all comic geek on you (google Silver Fox if you're a little baffled), instead, after my somewhat prolonged absence from the world of blogging I decided to get back into the swing of things with a rather beautiful photo of Ashley Smith. If you've read Bang Bang You're Dead before, you'll know I became kind of obsessed with Ashley about this time last year and I'm still fascinated.

I know Ashley splits opinion across the board - I've even heard people say she's too big/short, but I think she's gorgeous and am glad to see she's still going strong in fashion. This photo is from Muse Magazine's summer issue and although I'm still not 100% on the whole metallic thing, I think this editorial is stunning.

Now, I wouldn't usually condone the wearing of metallic jackets, or anything metallic for that matter, but having scoured the internet I have come to the conclusion that it isn't actually so bad - well, silver isn't anyway. These 3 bags are as far as I'd go with the trend (I'm still stuck in a colour rut) so I'm kind of intrigued how everyone else would do it? Accessories are always the cheats way out but unless you want to look like some dodgy 80s throwback, then it's probably also the safest.

What do you think? Hopefully I'll be able to get back on track with blogging (I blame too much beer and not enough sleep for lack of posts), I'm currently waiting to hear back from an interview I had last week so fingers crossed people!

In the immortal words of Johnny Bravo, 'Hey Foxy Mumma!'

I don't know what's come over me this evening; I can hear my next door neighbours at it like rabbits which is never fun and I have a horrendous amount of work to do this coming week. Anyway, I'm a bit of an Ashley Smith fan and have been for quite a while now (the most searched phrase that linked my blog on Google was 'Ashley Smith's boobs' for a good few months) and I absolutely adore this photo from the Opening Ceremony Fall 2011 lookbook...

She's stunning, right? The aforementioned work that I have this week includes a menswear photo shoot which I'm styling on Wednesday. I'm terrified because I've never done anything like this before so any hints and tips would be fab!

Apologies for the severe lack in posting, until the 15th (when the project is due) I probably won't be communicative but keep me updated either way.

Dazed by Ashley Smith

I was worried that Ashley Smith would become another of those 'flash-in-the-pan' models who hang around for one season then fall off the fashion radar quicker than you can say Chanel. Clearly I had nothing to worry about...

I wrote about Ashley back in May because her editorial for i-D blew me away and when I said Lara Stone had better watch her back, I meant it. She's already walked for the big boys and is scoring covers all over the show but it's her editorial in the October issue of Dazed and Confused that's caught my eye this time.

I've gone off Dazed in recent months but this issue is definitely worth a buy - as well as the lovely Ashley, they've well and truly re-vamped Daniel Radcliffe, with pretty impressive results. Love him or hate him, you can't ignore the fact that this is one of their most powerful cover for quite some time.

Will you be buying the latest Dazed? Having now proved that she can ace editorials and the runway, what do you think of the boob-alicious Miss Smith? I can't wait to see what she does next.

Spotlight: Anja Rubik

I know Spotlight has been a little biased towards models (think Abbey Lee, Kate Moss and Ashley Smith) but with girls this amazing, why would I write about anything else?

She is easily one of the most beautiful women in the business and has a killer body that puts any bikini diet to shame! I loved this shoot not only because the photography is stunning - the angles are perfect - but because it reminds me of ANTM. Don't recoil in horror, of course Anja beats every-girl-to-have-ever-entered-the-show hands down, but all I can think of is Mr.Jay saying "we want it sexy but not porn star". I don't think you could get any sexier.

This editorial is from a 2006 Summer issue of Numero, so unfortunately it's not available in shops any more; however, the latest issue featuring Kirsten Dunst and everyones Winter must-have - the shearling jacket - is, so get your copy now.

Spotlight: Ashley Smith

Unless your first name is Abbey, Freja or Natalia, my model knowledge generally isn't too hot (I was in close proximity to Imogen Morris-Clarke, Ali Stephens and Hanne Gaby Odiele and was oblivious). But then every once in a while, a model will pop up on the runway or feature in a magazine and I'll be obsessed. Right now my obsession is Ashley Smith.

Ashley, for comparisons sake, is pretty much a younger, more gap-toothed Lara Stone. This editorial for the summer issue of i-D is so soft and yet so honest, I mean those boobs are just insane. For a 19 year-old she seems to have her head pretty screwed on (although naivety can be deceiving) - "I'm not a twig and I've got titties...I think boobs are making a comeback. Models have looked like 12 year old boys for some time now, I think the fashion industry is looking for a change," she says.

I first caught sight of Ashley in this amazing Russh beauty editorial back in November but didn't actually know who she was until a few days ago, she's like some incredible Lara/Georgia Jagger hybrid!

As well as perfecting the quirky, edgy look, she's also pretty neat on the commercial circuit - check out this gorgeous US Elle editorial.

I think she's one of those models that I call 'superhuman' but I'm gonna wait it out and see what she does next, I really hope she isn't a flash in the pan. What do you think of Ashley, should Lara Stone (newly hitched, aww) be worried?
