QUEEN FOR A DAY

There are few things I actually like about living away from home. This is terrifically sad. Were you to monitor my actions, you would most definately mistake me for some cat-loving, old-and-past-it recluse. I do not go out and get wasted every night of the week. I do not live on a diet of bread and beans and I do my own washing. Regularly.

Student life is not, for me anyway, all it's cracked up to be. If Epsom were to have a decent nightlife this may all be different however that isn't going to change anytime soon. It seems one of the only things I have left to look forward to is my Dad's every-other-monthly visit to L-Town. I have inherited his inclination towards expensive goods - which is probably why our outings always end up in Selfridges. We're yet to splash out on a £15,000 Breitling, however, there is no harm in looking.

Tomorrow we're going on another of our father / daughter days and I can't wait. It's Selfridges 100th Anniversary so not only will we have one (or two) compulsory cocktails in the Gordons Bar, but we may even catch a fashion show. He may be my Dad but he's also my best friend (alongside Ma and JB) and for an, as I tactfully put it "over half a century old" man (sorry Pa), he knows a thing or two about fashion.

Anyway. I've been out of the blogging loop for no known reason, but I'm sure you'll be hearing more about my ultimate summer platforms (fingers-crossed I'll find them in my size) and Selfridges Anniversary shenanigans.

It's Dad's birthday on the 23rd of this month too, so fingers crossed to finding him a present. He more than deserves it.
